Lost Mountain Fibers is a small family farm located in the banana belt of the Olympic Peninsula, Sequim, WA. Currently we have 28 Pygora goats and 3 llamas. Much time and attention go into all our animals. They are our pets, not just farm animals.
We have wonderful goaties with loads of personality. They are very social and curious animals. Our goats love attention and are quick to greet you when you come visit them in their pasture. The llamas have a bit of an attitude but that works out perfectly as they act as guard animals to protect our goats. We live at the edge of the Olympic National Park and do have natural predators. The llamas do a great job in protecting their pasture mates. Our animals are a great stress reliever after a long day at work and we get the added benefit of a gorgeous, luxury fiber.
Pygora fiber is considered an exotic fiber. It contains no lanolin and is therefore hypoallergenic. It is also twice as warm as the same weight of wool. Pygora fiber is beautiful and a pleasure to handle. The animals and their fiber are both very soft and cuddly.
